Maj. L. J. Lowe died here Friday and was buried by the Masonic Order in the City Cemetery Sunday. Maj. Lowe was a Major in the Confederate Army, and was 83 years old. He leaves five children, his wife having died only a few months ago. He been living here with his son Gid H. Lowe, for about two years.
