William George Rose was the oldest son of Thomas J. and Polly Scanland Rose. He was born in Jackson Co. on 15 May 1832 and married Louisa Ann Hampton on 26 Sep 1852. To this union were born a daughter and 4 sons. William George and family migrated to Christian Co., KY ca1873 along with several other former Confederate soldiers. He died in Christian Co. in the 1890s and is buried in an unknown location.
