John Rose was a son of Joseph and Nancy Rose. He was born in KY ca1827 before
Joseph and Nancy migrated to Jackson Co. ca1836. He married Mary "Polly" Smith
in Jackson Co. ca1853. Polly was a daughter of Elezer and Mariah Smith. John
and Polly had 5 children. He was called John-Jr. to distinguish him from his
Uncle John Rose. John and Polly's death date or burial information is still a
mystery.
