Born: 17 Jul 1838 in Maury County, Tennessee
Died: 20 Jun 1893 in Dist. 14 Giles County,TN of Typhoid.
Parents: James Smith Pilkinton and Cynthia Renfro.
Married Mary Ann Renfro 14 July 1859 in Lawrence County, Tennessee.
Buried at Baker Cemetery, Lawrence County, Tennessee near Marcella Falls.
Grave was unmarked until the late 1990's when a government CSA marker was
added to it.
His brother John Robert Pinkleton was in Company K, 53rd Tennessee and his
brother Jesse Pitts Pilkinton joined Co. G, 16th Texas Cavalry.

COUNTY: Lawrence
According to his widow's application, Jefferson was wounded in the right
forearm in 1864 taking away bone and disabling him from working for several
months.
