Abstract of Information available in the Service Records:
Capt. Wm. P. H. Hancock's Co. Volunteers -CSA The 36th Regiment Tennessee Infantry was formed February 16, 1862. An attempt to reorganize the regiment was made in May 1862,, but it appears to have failed because most of the men deserted. Some of the mean were assigned to the 43rd and 63 Regiments Tennessee Infantry.

George E. Grubbs b abt. 1825 TN married Mary Armstrong 27 October 1845 in Greene County, TN; moved to Bradley County abt. 1857.
