Personal Information about the Veteran (Not contained in the CMSR):
Granderson F. Glover was born 30 Apr 1816 in TN, and was the son of Darnel
Glover and Elizabeth Cannon. He married Clarkey Mitchum Anderson and had two
children Tennessee Jordan Glover (of which I am a decendant) and Tabitha
Glover. His wife died and he then moved to Mecklenburg, VA. He married
Arimenta Dorman Kidd 22 Jun 1854 in Warren Co., NC. Granderson and Arimenta
Kidd had the following children: Mary (1855), Richard Field (1856), Oliver P.
(1859), Penelope Anne Christine Glover (often seen as just "Christine" born
abt. 1861) and Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Glover (born about 1861). Arimenta
remarried as a Widow to Robert R. Carrol 20 Jun 1866. As far as we know,
Granderson never made it home. Much of Granderson's family doesn't have
tombstones, and we have no idea where Granderson died or was buried. Most of
Granderson's family remained in Mecklenburg, VA.
