State of Tennessee, of the military forces of the state, from 1861 to 1866

List of Tennessee Union Soldiers interred at Andersonville,
Belle Isle, Danville, Point of Rocks, and Camp Lawton, Milin, GA.

Whole number of Tennessee dead, 810.  No less than 12,920 Union soldiers Perished in the Andersonville Prison, within whose fatal enclosure for the term of thirteen months 80,000 prisoners were confined, on twenty-six acres of ground, without shelter or blankets.  The annals of the andersonville prison will be forever one of the darkest pages in American history.

numbered below 12,867 died in 1864; those above that number in 1865. The
numbers mark the graves}
