When Received: Feb. 7, 1839; Crime: Grand Larceny; From What County: Claiborn (sic); Age: 33; Occupation: Blk Smith; Sentence: 3 years; Where Born: Virginia; When Discharged: Feb. 15, 1842; By What Authority: Conduct Exceptionable. Offence: Larceny. Sentence 3 years. Rec'd Feb. 7th 1839. He is 33 years old, Six feet high, Weights 160 pounds. Born and Bro't up in Washington, Virginia Ten Miles East of Abbington Where his father Nimrod HUGHES now lives. He has a Wife and four Children in Claiborne County Near his Sisters who is married to a man by the Name of Abram ANDREWS. He has Sandy hair, fair Skin, Blue Eyes, Rough features. Has Lost The forefinger of the left hand. The Middle and third finger of the same hand being injured which causes them to be crooked. He is a Blacksmith by Trade.
