Entered as Private, March 10, 1862, in Capt. A. Myers reg. Discharge March 24, 1865 at Nashville, Tenn.
In 1879 he is 50 years old. 5ft. 10 in Tall. Complexion Dark. Hair Dark. Dark Eyes. Listed as Farmer and Laborer (1888).

Disability: Injured in Battle near Dallas, GA July 10, 1864. Became Deaf in both ears by the explosion of a shell. Later it says "Disease of head, heart disease, Piles, the piles alone render me totally unable for work, also have rheumatism which renders me unable to even tie my shoe. I am almost totally deaf, and am totally unable to work. My name is inscribed on the Roll of Honor by order of Gen. Rosancran, for bravery at Chattanooga, Tenn."
