This Indenture Made this 4th day of December in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eighteen Hundred Seventy One Between George M. Taylor of the first part and Jefferson Wyrick of the second part.  Witnesseth. That the said party and the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Seven hundred Dollars to him in hand paid by the second party of the Second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do by these presents, Grant, Bargain, Sell, Remise, Release, Alien, and Confirm unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever a tract of land in 1st and 6th district of Campbell County.  Beginning on a black walnut in long hallow, at the conditional line made by P. Willoughby and his father.  Then north to a divisional line made by order of Chancery Court and with this line to a chestnut oak or a small chestnut on a Ridge, South East corner of Lot No. 1,  then east to the Knoxville Road then south with meanders of said road, to south side little (or title) divide, to Barney Alder's line then westwardly with the Alder line to a corner on a White Oak made by Ben Roach, and Wm Hutson, then westwardly to a bunch of Chestnuts on Wm Smiths line, then north with Smiths line to said Smiths corner, then with said Smiths line to a conditional line made by P. Willoughby and his father, then north where the said conditional line to a pine tree then with said line to the beginning.  Together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining; To have and to hold said premises as described, with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever and the said party of the first part his heirs executors administrators and assigns, do covenant grant bargain and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that at the time of the ensealing and delivery of these presents he was well seized of the above granted premises, in FEE SIMPLE; that they are free from all encumbrances whatever; and that he will and his heirs executors administrators and assigns shall Warrant and Defend the same against all lawful Claims whatsoever.  In witness whereof, the said party of the first part hath here unto set his hand and seal the day and the year first above written.

Campbell County  Personally appeared before me John Jones clerk of the County Court of said County, G. M. Taylor, the within named bargainor with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that he executed the within instrument for the purposes therein Contained. Witness my hand at office this 16th day of January 1873
