I am looking for any info that I can on a man by the name of Lon Townsend and his wife, a Cherokee lady who was called Tiny Marie. All I know about them at this time is that they lived in Calhoun or Charleston, and that she died at a young age around 1950 or before. They also had at least 1 child, a son. According to the Bradley County Heritage book, Gillum was the son of William Randolph who lived most of his life in McMinn County, moving to Bradley County in his old age. Gillum has 2 known brothers, Gilmore and Gilbert A. Gilbert had no children and Gilmore married 3 times and had 13 children.

Researching Eli H. SUTHERLAND, b abt 1798 SC, and descendants. According to the 1850 census, Hamilton Co., TN, Eli was a "B. Preacher" (Baptist I assume). Eli moved to nearby Bradley Co., sometime between 1850-60, where he is found in the 1860 census. Eli had a daughter Sarah A. SUTHERLAND, b abt 1844-46 in Hamilton Co., TN, d 1917 in Atlanta, GA, who was married in Bradley Co., TN, to (1) David LOFTIS who died 1864 from gunshot wound in Civil War; (2) Thomas J. HIXON who died 1867 apparently by gunshot; and (3) Absalom GILES.

The Cleveland Courthouse archives will have those records. Without an actual year at least, you'll have to do quite a bit of searching for the right ledger. Good luck.

W.B.Hickman was born in Bradley county tn. in 1900. His parents were Robert Hickman and Mary Eunice Dickerson. These are my ggrandparents and w.b. was my grandfather. Does anyone have a connection with this family?

I have found out that she was buried in Beech Springs Cemetery on Grisham's Farm in Bradley County. We went there but could not find her grave. This cemetery is in a wooded pasture area, very neglected with many, many unmarked graves, just stones as headstones.

Mary Elmyra McDaris was the second wife of Onslow Glenmore Frazier. They were married about 1859 in TN and divorced after having 8 children together. He is buried in Frazier Chapel Cemetery, Cohutta, GA. Where is she buried? Anyone have any information on her and/or her children? Their daughter Laura Ann Frazier Jenkins was my husband's grandmother. Appreciate any information.

Looking for info regarding John Robison/Robinson B 1812 D 1884 married to Nancy (Mathis)? B 1823 D 1867 He was born in TN and she was born in GA. They raised a family of 10 children in the Lebanon Church area of Bradley County TN. This located just north of the TN/GA state line and just east of the Hamilton/Bradley County line. They are both buried in the Lebanon Church Cemetery along with at least 2 unmarked graves between husband and wife and an unmarried daughter Mary is buried next to her father. This appeared in The Cleveland TImes paper on July 26 do not have a year but it was between about 1930 and 1944. Miss Josephine WOOLUM and Mr. J. Robert JOINES to be married on. Miss. WOOLUM is surgical supervisor at Physicians and Surgeons Hospital( this could have been a hospital in Chattanooga.) Mr. Robert JOINES is a regestered pharmacist and was with a Chatanooga radio co. I can not find any information on any of this. Would think that the Cleveland Times would have been Cleveland, Tenn. This was my great aunt and she was very elusive to say the least. Know she was married several times but this is the first lead I have found, but can't find this paper. Please HELP!!!!!!!!! Thanks JO

My ggreat-grand father Campbell H. Taylor, born 1801 was a brother to Andrew Taylor.

Andrew and Jane's children are Isabella Taylor(Akins), Elizabeth Taylor(Ghormley), David Taylor and Minerva Jane Taylor(Walker) they may have been more.

I have Jane Bigby parents as James Bigby and Catherine Foreman. They also called Jane as Jennie. James and Catherine children are Mary Ann Bigby(Taylor), Jane(Jennie) Bigby(Taylor, they married two Taylor brothers), James Bigby Jr., Thomas Wilson Bigby, Jackson Bigby, Wyley Bigby, Elizabeth Bigby, Sallie Bigby and Malinda Bigby.

The family lived around Mouse Creek and Candies Creek area in Bradley Co., TN. The were also Cherokee Indian decendent.

Daniel POWELL, wife Mary, sons Abraham and Daniel Squire and daughter Elizabeth and her husband Jonathan MULKEY moved from Pickens Co., GA, to East TN before 1880. They started out in Rhea Co. in 1880 but were in Bradley by 1900. Abraham's wife was Harriet Margaret DOOLEY and it's possible some of her family came with them. Abraham and Margaret's daughter, Mary, married William G. HILL in 1896 in Rhea Co. but were on the 1900 Bradley Co. census. Any information on this family would be appreciated.

A.D. Gibson, wife Mary Howell, John Gibson and wife Keriah Dyche migrated to Bradley Co. from Greene Co., in 1850 in time for the 1850 census. They eventually moved to northern Georgia and the amount of time they spent in Bradley Co. is unknown. I will share information.
