This indenture made the 7th day of January 1904 between Nicholas Blevins and his wife, Caroline Blevins of the County of Blount and the State of Tennessee parties of the first part and Will A. Mc Teer of Blount County, Tennessee party of the second part.

Witnesseth; That for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar in hand paid. The receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and confessed together with other considerations herein after recited and shown , the parties of the first part have bargained, sold, and hereby transfer, convey, assign and confirm to the party of the second part all rights, title, claim, interest and demand in and to a certain piece, parcel, tract, or lot of land situated and being in the state of Tennessee, County of Blount, District #7 and described as follows;

Beginning on stone on the west line of grant #2586 for the 3,840 acres to D. D. Foute September 1833 then to N 32 W 34 4/10 chains to a stone in Indian boundary line thence with same to a stone by Raser’s fence there with or near same to a stone and pointers to a stake, there to a stone corner to J. M. Webb, thence to his line to a stone with Andrew Gamble.

Containing 110 acres more or less being same land conveyed to Nicholas Blevins this day by Andrew Gamble and Carline Blevins wife of Nicholas expressly tenser, convey assign and quits to the party of the second part all claim, right, or demand that she has or may be entitled to under the homestead and dower laws of Tennessee.

But this is a trust deed and made for the following purposes and no other: That is to say that Nicholas Blevins id indebted to Isaac W. Taylor the sum of $200.00 for borrowed money evidenced by a promissory note with this instrument and due on the 7th of January 1907 and bearing interest from date.

Now the parties of the first part shall pay or cause to be paid the note and fully comply with this agreement then this obligation shall be null and void. Ect ect….
