State of Tennessee Blount County

I Michael Harvey have this day bargained and sold and do hereby Transfer and convey to John Stone his heirs and assigns for the consideration of Two hundred Dollars to me paid a certain tract or parcel of Land in the Countyof Blount and State of Tennessee being in the 10th Civil district of said County on the waters of Holston River joining the Lands of Benj. Bonham, Samuel Tallent and others and bounded as follows. Beginning on a post oak at or near aline of Samuel Tallent and running thence in divisional line – north twenty four west Seventy two and four tenths chains to a stake. Thence north sixty East thirty eight and five tenth chains to a Stake in Wrights line. Thence South fifty eight east eight chains to an ash Thince north Seventy Three east twenty seven chains to a Stake in Tallents line. Thence with his line south seventy eight and one fourth west seventy and one half chains to an Iron wood. Thince south five west forty chains to a sassafras in a hollow. Thince south fifty three west thirty chains to the Beginning – To have and to hold said Land to the said John Stone his heirs and assigns forever. I do commant with the said John Stone that I am lawfully Seized of said Land – have a good right to convey it and that the same is unincumbered. I do further comment and bind myself my heirs and representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to said land every point theirof to the said John Stone his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whatever. In testimoney whereof I have hereunto made my mark to my name and Seal this 9th day of February 1850.

Personally appeared before me Robt. A. Tedford Clerk of the County Court of the county aforesaid Wm. Cateburn and John Bailey they subscribing witnesses and after being duly sworn despose and say they are personally acquainted with Michael Harvey the bargainor to the written deed and saw him sign and heard him acknowledge the same to be his act and deed for the purpose theirin contained on the day the same bears date.
