The 1850 Census

The 1850 Census lists every one in the household on June1,1850. It includes the person's age, sex, and birthplace. The census also includes the occupation for any males over age 15, the value of Real Estate owned, if the person was married since June 1849, attended school with in the year, illiterate if over 20, and, finally, whether they were deaf, dumb, blind, insane, idiotic, pauper, or convict (the census considered all of them in the same category).
