Rowan Family Profiles

Many thanks to Edward Rowan for submitting these family files he created for his Rowan Family. Two individials were included in the Original 1807 Land Grants (George Berry, a Revolutionary Patriot, got 351 acres and Samuel Rowan got 150 acres).   BERRY, Elizabeth (1764-1836) BERRY, George (1756-1829) ROWAN, James “Edgar” (1872-1955)

KIRK, Sumner S. – (d. 1885)

Sumner S. KIRK, of whose death we gave notice last week, died of typhoid fever; his illness lasted three days. He was buried in Washington City; he was about 90 years old. WEIRE, James D. – (d. 1882)

DIED On the 14th inst., three miles North of town, James D. WEIRE, aged 72 years.
