The Shelby County Register of Deeds provides an online index of Tennessee deaths that spans 1949-2009. The index is partial and does not contain every death.
Information in the index includes name of decedent, date of death, age at death, county of death, county of residence, marital status, gender, race and death certificate number. Death certificates may be ordered directly from the record.
