ROGERS SADLER CARDER
Looking for information on the children of William ROGERS, who wasborn about 1780-90 in Chester Co., SC, but later moved to Tennessee.William was the son of Clayton and Betridge SADLER ROGERS. Williamsupposedly had 14 children -- 4 daugthers and 10 sons. Of the 10sons, 7 were supposedly Methodist ministers. The only offspring Iknow for certain about is my great-grandfather, Jefferson C. Rogers, who was born in 1820 in Tennessee. Jefferson C. married Nancy AdalineCARDER. They lived in Bledsoe County in 1850, later moved to Smith,White and Wilson counties. He died in 1906 in Wilson County. Therewas a William Rogers listed on the Maury County tax rolls in 1816 andin the 1820 census rolls, and I'm wondering if this could have beenmy William or possibly one of his sons. Appreciate any help on this"brick wall" in my family.Jay Rogers in San Antonio TX
