CLEMONS, MOONEY

Looking for info on my Gt.Gt.Gt.Grandmother/grandfather. ElizabethClemons, b. 1818, in TN; married Boaz Mooney b. 1816 d.2/14/1861. Moved to Alabama where their children were born. They appear on the1850 Bledsoe County census...we believe Elizabeth to be of Cherokeeancestry, info passed through family, but can find no proof as yet.Do these names appear familiar to anyone out there? I realize this issketchy info. We are still working hard to find out all we can!Thank you very much.

JOHNSON,PICKENS,MCKINNEY

I found a James W. Johnson in your 1850 census that has the age of aJOHNSON, that I am looking for. He was born 1831 in Tn. I do not knowhis parents, as I have lost him before 1900. I have him married to aNancy J. ? in 1878. I believe she is from Ala., I also believe hehadto have been married before. Your 1850 census has to a Liddy, andthey had a child, Mary A. Johnson. James and Nancy were found in Ak.in Beverly Township, Sebastian County, Ak. James' father is fromSC., and his mother from Tn. The JOHNSONS had a daughter IndependentJ.(Janie) born July, 1882 in Ak. In 1897 she married a John PICKENS ora George W. PICKENS. They had a daughter Alcye, Alsie, or Elsie,bornMarch 11, 1898. I would appreciate any help, as I have lost them,before 1900, and I do not have much information on my grandmother, asshe died in 1950. Thanks for any info.
