WARMACK posted by Pauline Marberry Walker , at Email: MIZPAULINE@aol.com , on Sunday, September 9, 2001

I am a descendant of WILLIAM & MILLICENT WARMACK, SR.. I have pictures of WILLLIAM WARMACK, JR.'s and his son, THOMAS J. WARMACK's, monuments from Ramble Creek Cemetery, Big Sandy, Benton Co., TN. Could you help me with additional information about WILLIAM & MILLICIENT WARMACK? According to your web-site WILLIAM & MILLICENT came to TN from N.C. about 1810. Do you know where they were buried and when? Do you know anything about their parents? Thank you in advance for any help you might be able to give me.

BARNES, SHERLEY posted by Barbara , at Email: granb@worldnet.att.net , on Thursday, September 27, 2001

Another lady pointed me in your direction. Please forgive me if I've written you before; I lost track a long time ago of who all I'd written to.

We're looking for info on the Barnes/Sherley families from Camden TN. Our gggrandfather, James Sherley, b. 1804, married Mary Barnes, b. abt. 1804, as his second wife, and James' daughter, Mary, married Moses Barnes. What we're looking for is: 1. How does Mary fit into the Moses Barnes family? 2. Do you know James Sherley's first wife's name? 3. Mary & Moses had a dgtr. named Nancy Crockett - any idea where that name came from? 4. Mary and Moses also had a son, Thadius; again, any idea why he was named Thadius? (we'd like to tie these Sherleys in with Thaddeus Shirley of SC.)

I see by my notes that Mary Barnes may have been the widow of a Jesse? We do know that she is buried in the Dalton Cemetery and that she died in 1889.

Would appreciate any help.

i ck on clues from your story i find that the city of williamston nc is in martin co its probley the lost county in nc everyone thinks is missing/ state archives has never heard of that as a county/ also the names bullock/wheatley/nobles all are located in martin co, nc so my best educated guess is that she was either from martin or pitt co, nc -hot on the trail trying to locate her husband!

I just downloaded a photo of James Anderson Davis and Family off the Benton County site, http://www.rootsweb.com/~tnbenton/photo3.html, and wondered if anyone could tell me anything about it?

Is this James Anderson Davis, 15 Aug 1853-1 Feb 1929, who married Clementine Berry, 30 Oct 1861-3 Apr 1949, in about 1881?

Does anyone know where and when it was taken and who the people are?

My emails to Barbara Warren Shelhart, the poster, have bounced.

Clementine is my 6th cousin.
