GUYI am trying to link a William Guy (possibly William Scott
Guy) to myancestor, John Thomas Guy (known as Thomas),
b.1803 in Iredell Co,NC. I believe William was the father of
Thomas Guy, and left NCbefore 1819 to move to Bedford Co,
TN., leaving his teenage sonbehind with kin. William would
have been born ca 1775 in Iredell Co,NC., and was son of
William and Jane Worke Guy. He received land inBedford Co in
a bequest in his brother, Alexander Guy's Will dated 17(or
27) Oct 1819. This land was originally bequeathed to
AlexanderGuy by his uncle, Alexander Worke in a Will
(undated) but ca 1810. The older Alexander had a lot of
land, not only in TN, but NC & MS. Iam hoping there
might be an obituary or church record which namesWilliam
Guy's children and wife. I believe he was a Methodist. AWill
might also be informative, but would probably not mention
Thomassince he was provided for in NC before William left.
Thanks for yourhelp in tracking down my ancestors...J.
