Obituary – Young, Joseph William, 1993

Joseph William Young, 68, of Clinton Rt. 4, died Friday at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

Mr. Young was born Jan. 27, 1925, in Verda, KY to the late Roy and Katherine Coffey Young.

He was retired from the Medical Department of the State of Illinois where he was a nurse.

Mr. Young belonged to Second Baptist Church in Clinton. He was a World War II Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Inez Young of Clinton; daughters, Kathy Young, Shirley Noe, Roselee, Mary and Martha Young; sons, Donald, Ronnie, Eddie, Billy, Mike and Bobbie Young, all of Illinois; a sister, Easter Potter of Andersonville; six grandchildren; niece, Vickie Freeman, and nephews, Harold and Wayne Potter of Andersonville.

Services were held Saturday at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Davidson and the Rev. James McPherson officiating. Burial will be at 1 pm Sunday at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Clinton.
