Docie Young, 95, of Lake City Rt. 1, Clear Branch community, died Sunday at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
She was born March 27, 1898 in Campbell County to the late Isaac and Mary Richardson Wilson.
Mrs. Young was a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church. A homemaker, she enjoyed crocheting and quilting as hobbies.
Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Young; a son, Damond Young; three sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth H. Sr. and Beulah Young of Lake City; sisters, Virgie Young of Maryland; Ruth Bolinger, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Jewel Young of Dearborn Heights, MI; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Wednesday at Clear Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. George DeLozier and the Rev. Floyd Powell officiating. Burial was at Leach Cemetery. Cox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
