Obituary – Wilson, Ora Lee, 1999

WILSON, ORA LEE – age 81, of Clinton Highway, passed away Thursday, February 18, 1999, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Knoxville. Mr. Wilson loved working in his yard and his flowers. He retired from Rohm and Haas after 37 years as an inspector. He was a member and Deacon of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Clinton. Preceded in death by: parents, Edgbert and Rosa Harrell Wilson; brothers, Clifton Wilson and Roy Wilson; sisters, Eunice Wilson and Edith Carmichael. Survivors: wife of 50 years, Hazel S. Wilson of Clinton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Edna and Lloyd Hammer of Clinton, Una V. and Clarence Hammer of Heiskell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clifford and Cora Lee Wilson, Conrad and Marilda Wilson, Kenneth and Chestine Wilson, all of Clinton, Earl and Lucy Wilson of Michigan.

Funeral services 8:30 p.m., Saturday, February 20, 1999, at Holley-Gamble Chapel with Rev. Joe Norris of Piney Grove Baptist Church officiating. Interment 1:30 p.m., Sunday, February 21, 1999, at Zion Cemetery in Claxton Community. Family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m., Saturday night at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.
