Obituary – Wallace, Robert Howard, 1993

Robert Howard Wallace, 80, of Oak Ridge Highway, Clinton, died Sunday at Oak Ridge Health Care Center.

Mr. Wallace was the first chief of police in Norris during the 1950’s after the city was incorporated.

He had also worked at the Magnet Mills in Clinton, was an Army veteran of World War II and was of the Baptist faith.

He was born Oct. 10, 1913, in South Bend, IN, to the late William A. and Bertha Williams Wallace.

Mr. Wallace we preceded in death by his wife, Nadine B. Wallace.

He is survived by his son, Bob J. Wallace of Franklin; grandchildren, Brad, Bart, and Gina Wallace; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Lou W. Loagan of Atlanta, GA; Margie Davis and Lena Byrd, both of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Tuesday afternoon at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Samuel Dean officiating. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
