Obituary – Walker, Margaret, 2001

Margaret Walker, age 79, of Clinton, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, April 28, 2001.

She was born Dec 2, 1921 in Knox County.

She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She lived in the Hillvale community for 60 years. Margaret loved many and was also loved by many.

Preceded in death by: Parents, William and Lula Baldwin Ford; seven brothers; four sisters.

Survivors: Husband of 60 years, Odus Earl Walker of Clinton; children, Jackie Walker and wife Norma of Andersonville, Roger Davis and wife Ethel of Andersonville, Billy Walker and wife Kay of Clinton, Barbara Elkins and husband Lester of Clinton, Mary Webber and husband Hubert of Clinton, Dewey Walker and wife Becky of Clinton, Carolyn Oxendine and husband Ray of Clinton; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; sister, Ethel Thomas of Florida; sister-in-law, Edna Sawyer of Clinton; a host of nieces and nephews.

The family received friends 6-8 pm Monday, April 30, 2001 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with funeral service following at 8 pm in the chapel with the Rev. Mark Keith and Dr. Robert Burns officiating. Interment was 11 am Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton in charge of all arrangements.
