Obituary of F. Rebecca Seivers, 2001:

F. Rebecca Seivers, age 90 of Claxton, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2001 at East Tennessee Baptist Hospital in Knoxville.

She was born April 27, 1911 in Sevier County.

She had worked at Claxton Elementary School as a school teacher, retiring with more than 28 years of service. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Claxton. She was a graduate of Robertsville High School and attended UT to receive her teaching degree.

Preceded in death by: husband, Lincoln Seivers; parents, Cary Dennis and Cora Matthews Shultz; step-mother, Margaret Smelcher Shultz; sisters, Mae Jones, Kate Bayless, Lill McKibben, Betty Lively; brothers, George, Bill, Cary D. Jr., and John Shultz.

Survivors: Step-daughter, Dorothy Jean Graham and husband Carl of Powell; step-granddaughters, Linda Osborne and husband Ken of Knoxville, Gail Funderburk of Clarksville, Nancy Hatmaker and husband Robert of Heiskell, Barbara Hedrick and husband Ralph of Powell; great-grandchildren, Donna Clevenger and husband Tim, Lori Viar, Luke Funderburk, Joshua Funderburk, Benjy Hedrick, Valerie Treece, Nicholas Fox; great-great-grandchildren, Alex Funderburk, Bailey Hedrick; sister, Sarah Nelson of Oak Ridge; brothers, Walter Shultz and wife Charlotte of Philadelphia, Robert Shultz and wife Wanda of Wartburg.

The family received friends 6-8 pm Saturday, July 14, 2001 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with funeral service following in the chapel with the Rev. Garvin Walls officiating.

Interment will be held 2 pm Sunday, July 15, 2001 at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Claxton.
