Obituary – Cagle, Mildred Joy Dawson, 2000

Mildred Joy Dawson Cagle, age 78, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000 at Outlook Pointe Assisted Living in Oak Ridge.

She was born Sept. 27, 1922 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Clinton. She was a retired Southern Baptist Missionary in Kenya, East Africa.

Preceded in death by: Husband, Wayne Cagle; parents, Fuller and Gertrude Key Dawson; sisters, Sammie Shippey and Glendene Elliott.

Survivors: Sons, Gordon Cagle and wife Carolyn of Clinton, Roy Cagle of Dallas; grandchildren, Dawson Cagle of Arlington, VA, Davilyn Cagle of Nashville, Lee Cagle, Christopher Cagle, Anne Cagle and Emily Cagle of Dallas; brother, Leon Dawson of Hartselle, AL.

The family received friends 5:30-6:30 pm Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with funeral service following at 6:30 pm with the Rev. Paul Frick and the Rev. Sam Dean officiating. Interment will he held at Copeland Ridge Cemetery in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
