Obituary – Patricia K. Mitchell

Patricia Kay Albright Mitchell, 75, passed away at Tennova Residential Hospice on May 13, 2012 with her family by her bedside. She was born February 25, 1937 in Youngstown, OH. Pat had a loving family and led a long and joyful life. Pat was an avid swimmer and spent her adult life teaching lifeguarding classes, swimming lessons and she lead multiple Girl Scout troops. She was a 1955 graduate of Clinton High School and was very involved in multiple class reunions. She also had a love of animals, especially her dog Max. Pat was a friend to all and a loving mother, sister and friend. Perhaps her most cherished times were spent on Norris Lake with her friends and family. Pat was a joy to those who knew her and she will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe Leon Mitchell, her parents Stanley and Mary Mackall Albright and her sister Gail Albright Culton.

She is survived by her son, Michael Mitchell and wife Sandra, two daughters, Mary Lea Mitchell and Sheryl Waldo. She is survived by her three sisters, Marilyn Albright Kesterson, Bonnie Albright Shoemaker and Jonnie Albright Beets and husband, Mark. She is survived by one grandson, Josh Waldo and wife, Cindy and her granddaughter, Jamie Mitchell. She is also survived by her only great-grandson, Wyatt Waldo. She has many nieces and nephews, including Melvin “Moss” Kesterson, Brad Culton and his wife Amy and their children, Asher and Anna. Also, Molly Culton Bingham and husband Wade, Dana Beets, Kevin Beets and wife Michelle and their children, Chase and Jacob. She is also survived by Aaron and Trey Shoemaker. Pat is also survived by numerous special friends including, Sherry Hart, Pat Moss and Anita Cummins.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Thompson Cancer Survivor Center and Tennova Residential Hospice for their care and compassion of our beloved.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 6-8 pm at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will follow with Reverend Mack Smith officiating. Graveside service will be Thursday, May 17th at 10:00 AM at Anderson Memorial Gardens in Clinton.
