Obituary of Helen Scarbrough, 2004:
Helen Scarbrough, age 80, of Clinton, died Thursday August 19, 2004.
She was a loving Christian wife, mother, aunt and friend.
She was preceded in death by: son, William Earl Scarbrough Jr.; grandson, Donald Ray Scarbrough; parents; 10 brothers and sisters.
Survivors: husband of 66 years, William Earl Scarbrough, Sr.; daughter, Nancy Lowe and husband Michael; sons, Ray and wife Martha Lou, Henry Scarbrough and wife Iva, Delius Scarbrough and wife Etta, Gene Scarbrough and wife Kathy, all of Clinton, J.D. Scarbrough and wife Pat of NC, Chuck Scarbrough and wife Carol, Michael Scarbrough and wife Robin, Roger Scarbrough and wife Diane, and Bobby, all of Georgia; daughter-in-law, Lori Scarbrough of Georgia; six special children, Wanda, Johnny, Barbara, Diane, Tommy and Frank; daughters-in-law, Brenda and Maggie; 35 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 6-8 pm Saturday, August 21, 2004 in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with funeral service following at 8 pm. Funeral service conducted by special nephew, Johnny McKamey.
Interment was at 11 am Sunday, August 22, 2004 at Sunset Cemetery.
