A former Norris resident, David Earl Archer, 48, of Deerfield Beach, FL, died Tuesday at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.
Mr. Archer was a tailor for Burdine’s Department Store in Florida.
He attended Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens and was a member of the Norris First Baptist Church.
His father, Robert S. Archer, preceded him in death. His mother and stepfather are Margaret and Herbert Sutton of Norris.
Survivors include brothers, Bob Archer of Norris, Jim Archer of Jackson, MS, and Bill Archer of Norris; nephews Robert, Scott and Doug Archer; and a niece, Margaret Fox.
Graveside services were held Friday at Norris Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Wayne Province officiating.
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
