Member Of West Side Church Dies

A mining camp housekeeper when a young woman,Mrs. Emma West Yarber,86, of Lake City, died May 6 at Methodist Medical Center.Mrs. Yarber, an Anderson County native, was a member of the West Side Baptist Church.Her first husband was the late Teddy West, who died in 1953.She also is the widow of Jess Yarber.He died in 1957.Mrs. Yarber also was preceded in death by a son, Vern West, and a daughter, Virgie Carr.She is survived by four sons, Vaughn and Vester West, both of Lake City, Virdith and Virgil West,both of Cleveland,Ohio, four daughters, Virlie Yarber and Vada Poore, both of Lake City, Mrs. Gary (Vivian J.) Mosley of the Frost Bottom community and Mrs. Clyde ( Venna) Mowery of Cleveland,Ohio,six stepchildren, 28 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, four great-greatgrandchildren and one sister, Ollie West of Lake City.The funeral was held Saturday at the West Side Baptist Church with the Revs.Warner Hawkins and David Walker officiating. Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery.
