Obituary of Ella Carver Sharp, 1992:

Ella Carver Sharp, 82, Lake City Rt. 2, Oak Grove Community, died Aug. 25 at her home.

She was born Jan. 26, 1910 in Campbell County and was a lifelong resident of the area. Mrs. Sharp was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Mattie Brock Carver, and her husband, Newman K. Sharp, in 1976.

Survivors include a daughter, Ella Mae Sharp McLean of Clinton; a son and daughter-in-law, Maynard Harvey (M.H.) and Ilene Sharp of Spokane, Wash.; a grandson, Darrell Lynn Sharp of Lake City; two step-great-grandchildren, Carolyn and Tammy Miller of Indiana; a sister, Fay Carver Siler of Duff, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Aug. 27 in the chapel of Martin Funeral Home of Lake City with the Rev. Ernest Ward and the Rev. Larry Foust officiating. Burial was Friday at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
