Obituary of Artie Mae Sieber, 2002:

Artie Mae Seiber, age 83, of Lake City, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

Mrs. Seiber was a member of Clinch River Baptist Church in Lake City. She was employed for many years at Magnet Mills in Clinton and later worked for other companies in LaFollette and Knoxville.

In addition to her parents, Walter G. and Nina (Shillings) Snow, Mrs. Seiber was preceded in death by: Husband, Elmer O. Seiber, whom she married in 1938; brothers, Ray H. Snow and Jimmy D. Snow; sisters, Mrs. Alburn (Fannie) Moore and Mrs. James Paul (Margie) Martin; in-laws, Mrs. And Mrs. Willie T. (Cora Lee Duncan) Seiber, Raleigh C. Seiber, Mrs. And Mrs. Hubert (Alice) Seiber, Marie Perry (Mrs. Ray H.) Snow, Mr. Alburn Moore, Mr. James Paul Martin, Mr. and Mrs. Elijah (Gladys) Daugherty; niece, Janice Martin; nephews, Jimmy Ray Snow, Johnny Daugherty and Daniel Daugherty.

Survivors: Daughter, Barbara Seiber of Lake City; sisters, Mrs. Gaynes (Faye) Burton of LaFollette, Mrs. Henry (Mary) Griffith of Greensboro, NC; in-laws, Kenneth and Wanda (Craig) Seiber, Maxie (Mrs. Charles) Braswell, Jean (Mrs. Jimmy) Snow; a host of nieces and nephews.

The family received friends 6-8 pm Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City.

Funeral was a 8 pm Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City with the Rev. Tom Byrge officiating.

A graveside service was held 11 am Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Road, Clinton.

Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City in charge of arrangements.
