Obituary of William Alfred Ray, 1967:
William Alfred Ray, 70, formerly of Harriman, died Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Wilma Edwards, in Lake City.
Besides Mrs. Edwards, he leaves four other daughters, Mrs. Jean Bollinger of Texas, Mrs. Eula Butler of Harriman, Mrs. Polly Parks of Oak Ridge, Mrs. Kathleen Carter of Knoxville; sons, Winifred of Harriman, Estel of Vermont and Don of Kentucky; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday at Sharp Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. W. H. Dail officiating. Burial was in Jonesville Cemetery.
