Obituary of Freddie Queener, 1995:

Freddie Mae Queener, 83, of Clinton, died Friday in her residence.

Mrs. Queener and her husband, Ervin, owned and operated Queener Flower Shop in Clinton for many years.

She was a member of Clinton First Baptist Church, where she previously taught Sunday school and was a member of the Adult choir. She also was a member of Clinton Business and Professional Women’s Club, Clinton Community Chorus, Clinton Timely Topics and Chamber of Commerce.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Lena Hendricks Norman; husband, Ervin Queener; and brothers, Jim and Mark Norman.

Survivors include sisters, Edith Beeler and Danna Curnutt of Clinton; close friend who was like a son, Garney Jr. and wife, Carolyn Scott of Nashville; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services was Saturday in Clinton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Sam Dean officiating. Burial was in Sunset Cemetery, Clinton.

Memorials may be made to Clinton First Baptist Church.

Holley-Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
