Obituary of Roxie Bunch Patterson, 1995:
Roxie Bunch Patterson, 74 of Dalton, GA died Thursday in her home.
The daughter of Harrison and Rachel Daugherty Bunch, she was born Feb. 25, 1921 in Anderson County. Mrs. Patterson enjoyed making quilts. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Patterson in 1983; son, Rexie Patterson; daughters, Wanda Lou Patterson and Roxie Patterson; and grandsons, Stacey Lee Patterson and Rexie Wayne Patterson.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Greefus and Darlene Patterson, Layton and Reba Patterson and David and Debbie Patterson, all of Dalton, GA; sons, Daniel Patterson and Jerry Patterson, both of Dalton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jeff Gowens of Dalton, GA; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Delia Patterson of Briceville.
Funeral service was Saturday in Cox Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Oscar Patterson officiating. Burial followed in Patterson Cemetery, New River.
