Obituary of Roscoe W. Foster, 1992:
Funeral Service for Roscoe W. Foster, 80 of Heiskell, were held Saturday at Mynatt’s Chapel in Knoxville. Burial was Sunday at Zion Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Gary Jenkins and the Rev. Burney Hutchison officiated.
Mr. Foster died Friday at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
He was retired from the Tennessee State Highway Department.
Mr. Foster, a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, was a member of the Andersonville Masonic Lodge No. 383.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Kirk Foster; sons and daughters-in-law, Erbie and Mary Foster, James Foster, Charles and Peggy Foster, Samuel and Sandra Fosters, all of Knoxville; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Alpha Foster of Dismal Bluff Road; nephews and nieces and many friends.
