Obituary of Mildred J. Ford, 1992:

Mildred J. Ford, 72, formerly of Oak Street in Clinton, died Wednesday at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Mrs. Ford lived with her sister, Onelda Smith, before entering the Anderson County Health Care Center in June of 1988.

She was born Aug. 26, 1920, in Oliver Springs to the late John Henry and Lola Cook Buck. Her husband, James Ford, died in 1985. Her brothers, Sam, John, Vernon and Truman E. Buck and sisters, Virgie Mae Buck, Margie A. Sasser and Betty Jean DeBord, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Ford was a homemaker. She attended the Clinton Church of God.

Survivors include sister, Onelda Smith of Clinton; brothers, and sister-in-law, James P. Sr. and Myrt Buck of Warsaw, MO; Oscar W. and Joyce Buck of Asheville, NC; and Dorothy Buck and Diane Buck, both of Powell; several nieces and nephews; and a foster daughter, Wanda Sue Fields of Ohio.

Services were held Saturday in the Martin Clinton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mitch McClure officiating. Burial was in Butler Cemetery in Oliver Springs.
