Obituary of Elwood “Woody” Foust, 1994:

Elwood “Woody” Foust, 50, of Lake City died Friday in his home.

He was born May 6, 1944 in Anderson County, the son of William Albert and Mary Lavada Foust. Mr. Foust was a member of Longfield Baptist Church. A landscaper, he enjoyed wood carving and painting.

He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Lee Otis Foust; and a brother-in-law, Charles Snodgrass.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Lavada Foust of Lake City; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary and Louis Parks of Lake Station, IN; Wilma and T.J. Albert of Oak Ridge and Sheila Snodgrass of Knoxville; a brother and sister-in-law, James E. and Bonnie Foust of Oak Ridge; two nephews, Ronald L. Parks of Hobart, IN and Dewayne J. Albert of Jefferson City; three nieces, Ronda Foust and Sherry Foust both of Oak Ridge and Carla Snodgrass of Knoxville; and special friend, J.L. Beach of Lake City.

Funeral service was Tuesday in Cox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Warner Hawkins and the Rev. George DeLozier officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
