Obituary of Ben L. Johnson, 1967:
B. L. Johnson dies Tuesday, rites are today. Ben L. Johnson, 78, Lake City Rt. 2, died at Eastern State Hospital Tuesday after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be conducted today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Johnson and the Rev. Walter Richardson officiating.
Mr. Johnson was a farmer and member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War I.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Johnson and sister, Mrs. Elsie Shetterly of Baltimore.
Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
