Obituary of Arlie M. Foster, 1994:
Arlie M. Foster, 82, formerly of Mountain Road, Clinton, died Tuesday night in the Knoxville Health Care Center.
He was born Nov. 11, 1911 in Anderson County and was the last surviving child of 10 children born to the late Joshua and Anne Brooks Foster.
Mr. Foster was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
He was a well known area farmer who loved to play checkers and attending string music sings.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Thursday night in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Robert Burns officiating. Burial was Friday in Bethel Cemetery.
