Obituary of Charles (Edd) Moore, 1980:

Farmer, ex-employee of TVA dies.  Charles (Edd) Moore, 91, of East Wolf Valley Rd., Heiskell Rt. 1, died July 9 at Oak Ridge Hospital of lung cancer.

He was a retired Tennessee Valley Authority employee and a farmer.  Moore was a member of Moore’s Gap United Methodist Church and a native of Anderson County.

An active worker in the local Democratic Party, he was an honorary sergeant-at-arms of the State House of Representatives.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eddus Moore; two step-daughters, Mrs. Jean Ezell and Mrs. Helen Wobig of Detroit; and two step-sons, Horace Worsham of Effingham, Ill. and Howell Worsham of Lake Park, Fla.

Funeral services were held Friday at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home chapel in Clinton with the Rev. Hubert Diggs officiating.  Burial was in Wolf Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.
