ELIZABETH RUTH MITCHELL

Elizabeth Ruth Edwards Mitchell, 69, of Akron, Ohio, died in Akron City Hospital on Tuesday following a lengthy illness.
She was a member of Miller Avenue Church of Christ in Akron.
Mrs. Mitchell was born in Galax, Va., and was married to Samuel Mitchell, Jr., a native of Anderson County, who had been employed with Magnet Mills.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Mitchell is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Mitchell of Akron; and three sons, John Holbrook of Akron, Gerald Holbrook of Copley, Ohio, and Jody Holbrook of Toledo, Ohio.
A graveside service will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in Black Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Smith officiating.
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. Prentice Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements in Arkon.
