Obituary – Grant, Peggy Siler, 1972

Obituary of Peggy Siler Grant, 1972:

Brickey Grant’s wife is dead in Arizona.  Mrs. Peggy Siler Grant, 52, wife of Wheeler (Brickey) Grant, formerly of Clinton, died of cancer last Thursday in Tucson, Ariz.

The Grants had resided in Tucson since World War II.  Mrs. Grant was a native of Baton Rouge, La.  and taught school.

Her husband was reared in Clinton and is the nephew of Riley C. Cooper of South Clinton.  He operated a dental laboratory in Tucson for a while and is presently working for the federal government there.

Mrs. Grant is survived by a son, Gilmer Grant of Phoenix, and a daughter, Miss Gay Grant of Tucson.

Services were held Saturday in Tucson.  Mrs. Robert L. May of Powell, Mr. Grant’s sister, attended the funeral.
