Obituary of Charles W. Edmondson, 1971:

Former Heiskell resident dies in Illinois. A former Heiskell Rt. 1 resident, Charles W. Edmondson, 89, died Nov. 19, in Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton, Ill.

Although Mr. Edmondson was born in Joplin, Mo., he lived on Brushy Valley Rd. for many years before going to Illinois. While here he married Emma Lamarr in 1911. She died in 1963. Funeral services were held in Princeton Nov. 21.

Mr. Edmondson is survived by four daughters, Mrs. James (Altha) Anderson of Sheffield, Ill.; Mrs. Edwin (Claudine) Piepach of Creole Springs, Ill.. Mrs. Ralph (Maxine) Henderson of Somonauk, Ill., and Mrs. Marion (Lucille) Cook of Princeton Rt. 1, Ill.; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Mamie Woody of Knoxville.
