Obituary of Jerry Lynn Amos, 2002:
Jerry Lynn Amos, age 61, of Lake City, passed away Friday, Oct. 25, 2002 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Jerry was born July 24, 1941 in Anderson County to the late Leon and Alma Towe Amos.
He loved gardening, fishing and four wheeling in the mountains.
He was preceded in death by: his parents and sisters, Marjorie Rutherford and Sandra Elaine Amos.
Survivors: daughters, Kimberly Coffey of Indiana; brothers, Darryl Glenn and Jackie Amos of Jacksboro, Billy Eugene Amos of Lake City, Arnold Leon Amos of Chula Vista, CA; sisters, JoAnn Stevens of Harriman, Lorene Day of Dayton, Ohio; grandson, Tyler Gregory Coffey of Indiana; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
The family received friends from noon until 2 pm Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, at Cox-Martin Funeral Home, with funeral service following at noon in the chapel with the Rev. Brian Courtney officiating.
Interment followed the service at Beech Grove Cemetery in Cameron Hollow.
