Obituary of Gertrude Alley, 1994:
Gertrude Alley, 87, of Andersonville died Tuesday in Regency Health Care Center, Norris.
Born June 18, 1906, in Anderson County, she was the daughter of Jeff and Etta Worthington Alley. Miss Alley was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was retired from the former Magnet Mills in Clinton, where she was a folder.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Ruth Rapier of Clinton; two brothers, Lawrence Alley of Andersonville and Warren Alley of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was Wednesday at Holley Gamble Chapel with Dr. Robert Burns officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery.
