Obituary of James Ernest Allen, 2002:
James Ernest Allen, age 70, of Briceville, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2002, at Lake City Healthcare Center.
He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Briceville.
He was preceded in death by: parents, James and Victoria Pratt Allen; sister, Georgia Leach; brother, Bill Allen.
Survivors: son, Tim Allen and wife Tinna of Clinton; grandson, Jordan Thomas Allen of Clinton; sister, Hazel Allen of Briceville.
The family received friends 6-8 pm Monday, May 27, 2002, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City with funeral service following at 8 pm with the Rev. Marty Stooksbury officiating.
Interment was 11 am Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at Leach Cemetery in lake City.
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City in charge of all arrangements.
