Obituary of Imogene Summers Allen, 1995:
Imogene Summers Allen, 70, of Clinton, died Wednesday in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
The daughter of Loransey D. and Sarah Barnard Summers, she was born July 4, 1924, in Arjay, KY. A homemaker, Mrs. Allen was a member of Clinch River Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Julian R. Allen of Clinton; daughter, Doris Stephens of Ft. Worth, TX; son, Randall Allen of Clinton; four grandchildren, Heather Jean Allen, Kenneth Stephens, Eddie Stephens and Janice Stephens; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Doyle Summers of Clinton, Arvile Summers of Baltimore, MD; and Charles E. Summers of Springhill, LA; sister, Annis Ridenour of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 8:30 pm Thursday in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Tom Byrge officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Garden.
Family will receive friends 8:30 pm Thursday.
