Obituary – Henderson, Myrtle Ely, 1984

Clinton Courier-News, February 9, 1984:

Olivers woman dies at her home.  A member of Poplar Creek Baptist Church near Oliver Springs, Mrs. Myrtle Ely Henderson, 71, of 111 Brittain Court, Oliver Springs, died at her home Saturday.  Mrs. Henderson was the widow of Ed Henderson, who died in 1976.

She is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Dorothy House of Clinton, Gladys Fitzgerald, Betty Walsh, Tina Norwood, all of Richmond, Va., and June Kreis of Oliver Springs; and five brothers, Rufus Ely of Greensboro, N. C., Eugene Ely of Champion, Ill., the Rev. Milford Ely of Oliver Springs, Glenn Ely of Knoxville, and Tommy Ely of Loveland, Colo.

Funeral services were held Monday at Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with the Revs. Marty Marriott and Jack Hyde officiating.  Burial was in Marlow Cemetery on Tuesday.
